Leasing Made Easy: HIGHPOINT's Step-by-Step Process

1. Browse Available Properties.
2. Email info@highpointproperties.ca or call (613) 547-3030.
3. Attend the showing.
4. Apply Online or submit an application form to the leasing agent. We recommend filling out your 2nd and 3rd options in their corresponding boxes as well. Although it’s not mandatory, this will increase your chances of obtaining 1 of your top 3 units.
5. Applications are approved based on: property-availability, time of submission and character references. We process your application by first ensuring the required information is filled out and then calling references. If your application is incomplete or your references are unavailable, we begin to process the next application. We therefore strongly recommend completing the application correctly the first time and ensuring your references will be available during both business and evening hours. If your first preference is leased by the time your application is approved, we offer your second choice.
6. Once your application is processed and approved, a member of HIGHPOINT contacts you to book a lease signing appointment. Feel free to review a Sample Lease before attending the meeting.
7. Before the appointment, each housemate must prepare 12 cheques addressed to: "HIGHPOINT Management". 11 will be dated from May 1st, 2010 until March 1st, 2011. 1 will be dated for the day of the lease signing in the amount of 1 month’s rent. This will act as your deposit and will be used as last month’s rent.
8. Each housemate must attend the meeting to sign the lease, submit their cheques and ask any further Questions. Parents are encouraged to attend the viewing and/or lease signing. They should also feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
